History of the Faculty of Engineering at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar
The Faculty of Engineering of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar (UMM) is one of the pioneering faculties in supporting the development of higher education in the field of engineering in the southern region of Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Establishment of the Faculty of Engineering
Based on the Decree of the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar Number 123/KPT/HK.13/2015, the Faculty of Engineering was formally established on August 15, 2015. Initially, the faculty started its lectures with two study programs, namely Civil Engineering and Informatics Engineering.

Growth Over Time
In 2018, the Faculty of Engineering developed a third study program by introducing Electrical Engineering. In 2020, a fourth study program was added, namely Mechanical Engineering. Since its establishment, the faculty has had a curriculum designed with the National Higher Education Standards (SNPT) and has undergone an accreditation process by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
Vision and Mission
The vision of the Faculty of Engineering UMM is to become a leading faculty that excels in engineering education, research, and community service. Meanwhile, its main mission is to provide high-quality education, develop innovative research, and build partnerships with industry and society.
With the support of modern facilities such as engineering laboratories and advanced libraries, the Faculty of Engineering UMM is committed to producing graduates who are ready to face global challenges and contribute to the advancement of the nation.
