The Engineering Faculty of Demo University held an Internet of Things (IoT) Workshop themed "Building a Smart Campus with IoT" on April 15-16, 2026 at the FT Auditorium.

The workshop, attended by over 150 participants, featured speakers from industry and academia:

• Dr. Ir. Andi Rahman, M.T — Head of IoT Lab FT, discussed IoT architecture for smart campuses
• Bapak Rudi Hermawan — IoT Engineer from Telkom IoT, discussed enterprise IoT platforms
• Ibu Sarah Chen — Engineer Lead from Grab, discussed edge computing

Participants gained hands-on experience in ESP32 programming, sensor integration, and dashboard development for monitoring using open-source platforms.

"This workshop was very beneficial. I learned a lot about how IoT can be applied in campus environments for energy efficiency and security," said one of the participants.
