History

History of the Faculty of Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering at Muhammadiyah University, Makassar, was established with the operation of the Civil Engineering Department, specializing in Water Resources Engineering, in 1987, based on SK No. 0628 /O/ 1989. Therefore, the establishment of the Water Resources Engineering Program coincided with the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering. In the same year, 1989, Water Resources Engineering began accepting new students.

The Faculty of Engineering, currently over 30 years old, has faced numerous challenges and undergone significant changes. The Faculty has produced competent individuals in the field of engineering, spread across various regions, provinces, and even internationally.

The establishment of the Faculty of Engineering aimed to contribute to the success of national development. Therefore, the Faculty strives to produce responsible graduates in their respective fields.
