Road to PKM 2026: Sharpening Creativity, Carving Achievements for Unismuh Makassar Architecture Students.

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — In an effort to improve the quality and competitiveness of students in research and innovation, the Faculty of Architecture (HMA-FT) of Muhammadiyah University, Makassar, held an event titled "Road to PKM 2026" with the theme "Sharpening Creativity, Achieving Success" on Friday, November 7, 2025.

The event took place on the 3rd floor of the Menara Iqra Engineering Faculty, and was attended by architecture students from various batches. The event aimed to provide preparation and motivation for students to be better prepared to participate in the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM) organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

In this event, Saddan, an architecture student from the 2022 batch and Chairman of the Architecture Division of HMA-FT, was the main speaker. He shared his experience and strategies in developing innovative PKM proposals, from idea development to scientific writing and national selection processes. Meanwhile, Fitri Aulia, a member of the Architecture Division of HMA-FT, served as a moderator and guided the interactive discussion. The event took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere, with participants actively asking and discussing the challenges and opportunities in the PKM competition.

The "Road to PKM 2026" event is an important first step for architecture students at Unismuh Makassar to prepare for national scientific competition. Through this event, students are expected to be able to sharpen their critical, creative, and collaborative thinking skills, which are the main competencies in the academic and professional world.

The Chairman of HMA-FT, Unismuh Makassar, expressed his appreciation for the spirit of the event organizers and participants, "The Road to PKM event is a concrete manifestation of HMA's commitment to producing active and innovative architecture students. We want to foster a spirit of scientific competition from an early age so that students not only excel in the field of design, but also in research and community service."

He also added that HMA-FT will continue to be a platform for developing students' potential, both in the academic and organizational fields, as part of the contribution to the development of the Faculty of Engineering and Muhammadiyah University Makassar in general.
