TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, conducted a two-day Curriculum Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Review Support activity from Monday to Tuesday, November 17–18, 2025, at the Iqra Building, 17th Floor, Unismuh Makassar.


This activity is a strategic step for the Faculty of Engineering to ensure that the curriculum of each study program aligns with national and international higher education standards, particularly those emphasizing measurable learning outcomes based on OBE.

The review was led by Dr. Ir. Restu Faizah, S.T., M.T., who provided technical guidance on the preparation and review of curriculum documents in accordance with OBE principles. All faculty leaders, heads and secretaries of study programs, GKM teams, and representatives from the Quality Assurance Body, actively participated in the evaluation and alignment process.

The speaker, Dr. Ir. Restu Faizah, S.T., M.T., emphasized the importance of this support in curriculum development. "This support is not only to refine curriculum documents, but to ensure that every learning process can produce graduates with relevant, measurable, and job-oriented competencies," she said.

During the two-day event, participants focused on reviewing CPL (Course Learning Outcomes), CPMK (Course Learning Outcomes and Materials), learning matrices, and the connection between learning outcomes and assessment strategies. Each study program had direct consultation to ensure that the curriculum was aligned with developments in scientific knowledge, industry needs, and the latest accreditation standards.

Dr. Ir. Ar. Hj. Irnawaty Idrus, ST., MT., IPM., IAI., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Unismuh Makassar, praised the implementation of this activity. "Curriculum review based on OBE is an important foundation for improving the quality of learning. This support ensures that the curriculum of each study program is not only relevant to current needs, but also produces competent, outstanding, and globally competitive graduates," she said.

She also emphasized that the Faculty of Engineering is committed to improving academic quality through systematic, measurable, and adaptive curriculum updates in line with international educational standards.


With the implementation of this support, the Faculty of Engineering, Unismuh Makassar hopes that all study programs can comprehensively revise their curricula, so that OBE can be implemented optimally and support the university's vision as an Islamic, excellent, and progressive campus.
