Optimizing the Potential of Electrical Engineering Students to Address Industrial Challenges.

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Electrical Engineering Student Association (HME) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, held the INDUKSI (Industry and Electrical Engineering Study Visit) activity on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Grand Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP) Makassar. The activity carried the theme "Optimizing the Potential of Electrical Engineering Students to Address Industrial Challenges" and served as a direct learning platform for students to gain a deeper understanding of the working world and the power industry.

The event was attended by Andi Menceng Ashar, S.T., M.T., as Head of General Affairs, BBPVP Makassar, who served as the introductory speaker in the event. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of students mastering practical competencies and being prepared to face the dynamic developments in the digital and automation era.

The INDUKSI activity is a regular agenda organized by the Electrical Engineering Department (Keelektronaan) of HME, FT Unismuh Makassar, as a form of collaboration between the academic and industrial worlds. Through industrial visits, students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also gain direct experience regarding the application of electrical technology in the workplace.

In addition to the presentation session, participants also had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, inspect training facilities, and understand the latest standards and technologies used at BBPVP Makassar.

The chairman of the organizing committee stated that the activity is expected to be a platform for the development of students' insights and motivation in Electrical Engineering, in order to be ready to compete in the professional world. "We want students to be better prepared to face industrial challenges with technical skills, work ethics, and innovative spirit," he said.

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, provides full support for this activity, as a form of implementing the link and match program between universities and industry.

With activities like INDUKSI, students of Electrical Engineering at Unismuh Makassar are expected to continue to develop their potential and become a superior generation capable of making a real contribution to the development of technology and the power industry in Indonesia.
