Unismuh Makassar Engineering Students Intern at ASISI, Ready to Enter the Field Project World.

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Faculty of Engineering at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar has officially initiated a collaboration with the Nusantara Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Technicians Association (ASISI) South Sulawesi Branch through the implementation of a student internship program.
This activity is the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOA) between the Faculty of Engineering at UNISMUH Makassar and ASISI, which was previously signed as an effort to strengthen synergy between the academic and industrial worlds.
As a concrete follow-up, a number of students from the Electrical Engineering program have been deployed directly to participate in a two-month internship under the supervision and guidance of professional ASISI technicians. During the internship, students will be directly involved in various field projects, particularly those related to the installation, maintenance, and testing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
The Chairman of the ASISI South Sulawesi Branch, Muh. Saipul, S.T., who is also the Director of CV. Sejuk Abadi Teknik, welcomed the presence of the internship students. "We provide a platform for students to learn directly in the field. We hope that they not only understand the theory in the classroom, but also be able to apply it in real-world work in the industry," he said.
The Secretary of the Electrical Engineering Program, Ir. Andi Abdul Hakik Lateko, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for ASISI's support in providing opportunities for students to hone their technical and professional skills. "This internship is an important means of developing practical skills for students in Electrical Engineering to be ready to compete in the workforce," he said.
Through this collaboration, it is hoped that students from the Faculty of Engineering at UNISMUH Makassar will gain relevant industrial experience and strengthen their readiness to face challenges in the engineering sector, particularly in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning.
This internship program is also part of the Faculty of Engineering's strategy to emphasize student learning experiences outside of campus and direct involvement in the industry.
