HMIF-FT Unismuh Holds Scientific Writing Workshop: Train Students in Creative, Innovative, and Competitive Informatics.

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Informatics Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (HMIF-FT Unismuh), through the Human Resources (HR) Department, successfully organized a Scientific Writing Training Workshop with the theme "Developing Intellectually Capable, Insightful, and Skilled Informatics Students through Creative and Innovative Scientific Writing."

The activity aims to enhance the capacity and skills of informatics students in composing scientific writing that not only meets academic standards but also presents creativity, innovation, and relevance to technological and scientific developments in the digital era.

The training was delivered by Ir. Muhammad Faisal, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, an academician and experienced practitioner in the field of research and scientific publication. He is a graduate of Doctor of Philosophy (ICT) from Asia e University Malaysia. The activity was moderated by Annisa Alfrini, an outstanding student from the Informatics Program at UNISMUH.

The event, which took place on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of the Iqra Tower, Unismuh Makassar, lasted from 09:00 AM to 6:00 PM WITA. The training atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm from participants who actively discussed and listened to the materials on effective, accurate, and competitive scientific writing techniques.

The Chairman of HMIF-FT Unismuh, Ahmad Nur Rahman, in his opening remarks, emphasized that this activity is a strategic step for the organization to produce outstanding informatics graduates, not only in the academic field but also in scientific writing skills. "Through this training, HMIF-FT Unismuh hopes that informatics students can broaden their horizons, improve their critical thinking skills, and make a real contribution to the world of research and technology," he said.

More than just a training, this activity is expected to inspire students to continue creating, honing their creativity, and daring to compete in scientific competitions at regional, national, and international levels.
