Unismuh Faculty of Engineering Strengthens Synergy Through Management Meeting

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Faculty of Engineering at Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar held a leadership meeting in the Faculty of Engineering Hall on Thursday, August 28, 2025. The event was attended by faculty leaders, including Dean Ir. Syafa’at S. Kuba, ST., MT., Vice Dean II Dr. Ir. Andi Makbul Syamsuri, ST., MT., IPM, Vice Dean III Soemitro Emin Praja, ST., M.Si, and Vice Dean IV Dr. Alamsyah, S.Pd.I., M.H., as well as heads and secretaries of study programs, the Quality Control Unit (GKM), and administrative staff.

The meeting began with a discussion led by Vice Dean IV, Dr. Alamsyah, focusing on Surah Ali Imran, verse 103. In his discussion, he emphasized the importance of faculty leaders adhering to divine guidance, avoiding division, and strengthening synergy in leadership. He also quoted Surah As-Shaf, verse 4, which describes a strong and unified building.

“The Faculty of Engineering will be even more advanced if all leaders support and carry out their responsibilities with full accountability. Leadership is a trust from Allah that must be maintained,” he said.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Syafa’at S. Kuba, in his address, emphasized the importance of improving service quality at all levels, including study programs, administration, and vice deans. He affirmed that all attendees were leaders with the responsibility of strengthening synergy in leadership.

“Leaders are servants. Good cooperation is the key to successful leadership,” said Syafa’at.

As part of the meeting, a trial run of the faculty's application was conducted. The application is expected to support improved administrative services, accelerate academic processes, and facilitate coordination between units.

Through this leadership meeting, the Faculty of Engineering at Unismuh Makassar reaffirmed its commitment to improving academic quality, strengthening governance, and introducing innovation towards an excellent, Islamic, and competitive faculty.
