Unismuh Makassar Faculty of Engineering Holds Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, held the Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year, a formal academic ceremony as a sign of approval for the graduation of students from various study programs.

The event was attended by all faculty members of the Faculty of Engineering, namely Dean Ir. Muhammad Syafaat S Kuba, ST., MT., Vice Dean I Dr. Ir. Ar. Hj. Irnawaty Idrus, ST., MT., IPM., IAI., Vice Dean II Dr. Ir. Andi Makbul Syamsuri, ST., MT., IPM., Vice Dean III Mr. Soemitro Emin Praja, ST., M.Si., Vice Dean IV Dr. Alamsyah, S.Pd.I., M.H., Program Study Heads, lecturers, and participating students.

The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, September 12, 2025. The event started at 14:00 - 16:00 WITA.

The ceremony took place in the Igift Hall, 2nd Floor, Iqra Tower, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar.

The graduation ceremony was held for:•To officially recognize the graduation of students from the Faculty of Engineering. •To give academic recognition to students who have successfully completed their studies. •To instill moral values, responsibility, and trust as alumni who represent the university's reputation.

The event began with an opening by the moderator, followed by the singing of the Indonesian National Anthem and the Muhammadiyah anthem. Subsequently, a brief lecture was delivered by Vice Dean IV, Mr. Dr. Alamsyah, S.Pd.I., M.H., emphasizing the importance of honesty in pursuing knowledge and serving parents.

After that, the names of the participating students from each study program were read, namely Architecture, Informatics, Regional and Urban Planning (PWK), Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The Head of the Informatics Program, Ms. Rizki Yusliana Bakti, ST., M.T., delivered that in addition to the S.Kom degree, students were also entitled to obtain an additional MTCNA degree for those who passed the certified exam. The free Mikrotik certification exam was held by the Informatics department.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of graduation certificates along with the reading of the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). At that time, several students were able to achieve graduation grades ranging from Satisfactory, Very Satisfactory, to Cum Laude.

The event culminated in the reading of the graduation oath, led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Muhammad Syafaat S Kuba, ST., M.T. All participants followed. In his speech, the Dean said: "Please take care of our university. If you have any complaints, keep them here, don't bring them out."

The event was closed with a joint documentation session with the faculty and all participants, ended with handshakes as a sign of farewell between students and lecturers and faculty members.
