Unismuh Faculty of Engineering Data Engineering Competency Examination.

TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, will once again hold the Data Engineer Mid-Level Competency Examination on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

The event took place in the Faculty of Engineering, Unismuh Makassar, and was attended by students and lecturers from various study programs.

This competency examination is part of the faculty's efforts to support the professionalization and certification of engineering in the field of information technology and data. The event was organized in collaboration with the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar Professional Certification Institute, which is licensed by the National Professional Certification Board (BNSP).

Through this examination, participants are tested on their technical and professional skills in managing, analyzing, and utilizing data based on national competency standards. Participants are also required to present projects or work portfolios that demonstrate the application of data knowledge in an industrial or research context.

According to the organizing committee, the purpose of this examination is to produce competent and ready-to-work Data Engineers. "Through this certification, graduates of Unismuh Engineering are expected to not only have academic skills, but also be recognized nationally in terms of professional competence," said one of the assessors.

The examination environment was smooth and orderly. Participants were enthusiastic in following each assessment stage, from verifying portfolio documents to competency interviews. The results of the examination will determine the participants' eligibility as holders of the Data Engineer Mid-Level certificate issued by the BNSP.

The Faculty of Engineering, Unismuh Makassar, is committed to continuously encouraging its students and lecturers to obtain professional certifications in various engineering fields, as a strategic step to face the challenges of Industry 4.0.
