TEKNIK.UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR — The Student Association of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, through the Civil Engineering Division, has once again implemented one of its programs, namely CESTRA’25 (Civil Essentials Training). This activity took place from 1-5 October 2025 and was attended by civil engineering students from various batches.

CESTRA’25 is designed as a space for basic civil engineering learning and training, with the aim of equipping students with relevant knowledge and practical skills for the field of civil engineering. The program also serves as a platform for developing soft skills, teamwork, and students' understanding of the important role of civil engineering in community development.

The activity was packaged in the form of materials, training, and field practice. During the five days, participants were not only equipped with theory about civil engineering, but also encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, collaborate, and apply the knowledge gained in real-life case simulations.

The Chairman stated that the activity is expected to be the foundation for civil engineering students to develop themselves. "CESTRA'25 is here to strengthen the academic knowledge and skills of civil engineering students. We want participants not only to be academically intelligent, but also to be ready to face the challenges in the field with mature minds and skills!" said Ashabul Kahfi.

Participants were seen to be very enthusiastic about participating in the activities. In addition, the presence of mentors and alumni also gave students a boost, as they shared their experiences and insights about the world of civil engineering work.

With the presence of the CESTRA'25 program, the Student Association of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, hopes that this activity can be a sustainable agenda that can produce competent, character-oriented civil engineering students who are ready to compete in the professional world.
